The Winery:
The founder and owner of Bokisch Vineyards and Winery is Markus Bokisch.  As a boy growing up he spent summers with mother’s family in Spain.  In true Spanish tradition he was given wine with water with meals each day.  It was this early training that developed Markus’ palate for Spanish wines.
The Vineyards:
The estate vineyards include Albarino, Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Cahrdonnay, Tempranill, Graciano, Grenache, Syrah, Merlt, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.  The vineyards are farmed using sustainable vineyard practice and the wells, shop and house are run entirely off solar energy.  The Bokischs sell many of their grapes to other fine wineries throughout California.
The Wines:
Because of the time the winemaker spent in Spain both as a child and as an adult, it was natural that the wines produced are all made from Spanish grapes and produced in the Spanish style.
The Winemaker: Markus is the winemaker at Bokisch and has a degree in plant pathology with specialization in viticulture.  After working at Joseph Phelps Vineyards in Napa he moved his family to Spain and worked in Spanish wine industry before returning and establishing his own winery and vineyard.
