The Winery:
The Gnekow Family winery is located just outside of the Lodi AVA, near the southern boundary, Highway 4. There are two tasting locations, at the winery, and a second facility east of Manteca in Escalon, at 1124 California Street. The winery not only produces wines for the estate, but also operates a custom crush facility. This facility produces 70,000 cases annually for such premier wineries as Hess, Bogle and Kendall Jackson. The winery has a storage capability of 526,000 gallons. The tasting room does a great job of incorporating fun into the experience using wine barrels as the theme in their decorating scheme. The Vineyards:
The winery makes use of 83 to 90 year old head pruned Zins in the production of their high end, reserve Zinfandel wines. These wines are made from grapes coming from several different properties. The estate specializes in wines produced from Lodi and Sierra Foothill AVA grapes.

There is a wine for just about every palate at Gnekow Family Winery; from their high end, reserve Cum Laude Old Vine Zin line to the Campus Oaks Varietal to a more easy drinking, value wines under the YN label.

The Winemaker:
The winemaker at Gnekow is Christopher Legrandjacques, a French winemaker trained at some of the finest French chateaus. These included G.H. Mumm in Champagne France and Chateau de Chantegrives in the Graves district of Bordeaux.
