The Winery:
The winery for Watts is located at the Vino Piazza Wine Plaza in Lockeford. The tasting room is beautifully decorated with paintings and other representations of their signature Iris flowers that are prominently displayed on all of the wine labels. The winery has been breaking ground globally and recently made news by signing a contract with the Chinese to be one of the first local wineries to export their wines to that country.

The Vineyards:
The Watts family has been growing grapes near the Mokelumne River within the Lodi AVA for four generations, and over 70 years. The river provides a unique microclimate that creates cooler growing season than other parts of the region. These cooler growing conditions allow the grapes to hang on the vines longer, creating fruit with great depth of flavor.

The Wines:
The winery has made a reputation for producing award winning Old Vine Zinfandel and Bordeaux style wines. Their Bordeaux style blend previously won not only the best Bordeaux Blend and double gold at the State Fair, but it got won a gold medal from the San Francisco Chronicle as well.

The Winemaker:
Winery owner Craig Watts is also the winemaker at Watts. Craig works with consulting winemaker William Ghiglieri to produce the estate wines.
